If you enjoy "Mass" entertainers with a mystery twist, it’s a solid one-time watch. However, if you prefer a tighter, more realistic investigative thriller, the original Thadam is often considered the superior version.

Like many commercial Indian films, Red suffers from unnecessary subplots and songs that break the tension of the thriller.

The story follows two lookalikes—Siddharth, a civil engineer, and Aditya, a small-time gambler and con artist. When a murder occurs and a selfie of one of them is found at the crime scene, both are arrested. The police must then figure out which of the two committed the crime.
