The Knights discover that the Court of Owls —a secret society of Gotham's wealthiest families—has been controlling the city from the shadows for centuries.

These "misfit fugitives" must clear their names while becoming the city's new protectors. They are pursued by District Attorney Harvey Dent (played by Misha Collins) as they uncover the same conspiracy involving the Court of Owls.
