Kwan ventures into the desert to find a group of mystics known as the "Desert Witches". To uncover her family’s purpose, she undergoes a ritual where she drinks a hallucinogenic liquid. This triggers a vision where she repeatedly fights (and is killed by) Master Chief until she stops her rage and listens. The episode deviates from the main Master Chief

After her vision, Kwan returns to her father’s old base. Meanwhile, Soren returns to Madrigal, motivated by a sense of duty to Master Chief to protect Kwan. They are soon cornered by Vinsher Grath and his private army.

Kwan and Soren lure Vinsher’s forces into a fuel station. While Soren provides a distraction, Kwan uses Master Chief’s discarded assault rifle to rupture a fuel line. The resulting explosion kills Vinsher and his men, while Kwan and Soren narrowly escape into a reinforced bunker. Key Character Developments
