Jan, an old linguist living in a top-floor apartment in Żoliborz, is the first to realize these aren't random words. The wind is translating the city’s soul.
When a gentle breeze hits the Vistula, the air reads: „Pamiętam rzekę przed betonem” (I remember the river before the concrete). When a gale tears through the skyscrapers of Centrum, it screams: „Biegniemy, ale dokąd?” (We are running, but where to?).
He eventually finds a young girl sitting in the middle of a completely still, abandoned courtyard. She doesn't speak. She only breathes. Every time she exhales, a tiny whirlwind forms around her, carrying delicate Polish words that tell the stories of people who have been forgotten by the bustling city.
The story follows Jan as he tries to find the source of the "Wind Subtitles." He follows a particularly fierce draft that carries a single, repeating sentence: „Szukaj mnie tam, gdzie cisza ma głos” (Find me where silence has a voice).
